History

TechQuiero is a nonprofit organization that promotes inclusion in the worlds of technology, STEM, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

The initiative was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México, and is based in Montréal, Québec, Canada.

We foster inclusion through motivation, hands-on training, mentorship, and events featuring inspiring role models. By connecting women with opportunities in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and entrepreneurship, we empower them to develop the skills and confidence to become leaders and changemakers in their communities.

Our programs and collaborations aim to reduce the gender gap in technology and innovation while building bridges between Spanish-, French-, and other language-speaking communities around the world.

While our primary focus is on women, TechQuiero also welcomes minorities and men who share our mission of creating safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces for women and girls

Mission & Vision

Mission: Tech Quiero’s mission is to provide women, girls and minorities with knowledge and skills in digital employability, technical training and digital strategies that will allow them to :

Vision: The world has been moving rapidly in recent years, but this growth has benefited a small part of the population. We continue to see a gender gap in business, technology and the economy in general. We believe that talent can be found equitably, but opportunities are not. This is why TechQuiero’s proposed solution is to create safe spaces, online and offline, to learn, connect, share and create opportunities for women, girls and visible minorities.

Logo Meaning

The Tech Quiero logo features several meaningful elements. Visually the Pink/Magenta Heart positioned at the top, symbolizes, love and passion for technology, care and support for the community and emotional connection to the mission. The coding Brackets "<>" surrounding the heart, represent, technology and programming, the technical focus of the organization and the digital innovation and development. The typography - "tech quiero" a wordplay with "Quiero" meaning "I want" in Spanish, conveying desire and aspiration. With the combination meaning: "I want tech" or "Tech I love". In short, the logo combines emotion (heart) with technology (code brackets) to represent the core mission: bringing women and girls into technology with passion and care.
